By Tony Weedn. Facebook just launched their Facebook Profile Frame Overlay Maker giving access to anyone to create their own custom overly frames. In this article I am going to show you how you can do this for free.
This will give you a popup window that you just need to follow the prompts. Step 4 You must have designed a png graphic for your frame and you will need to upload it during this step. Once you have created your design, upload it by clicking on the upload art button then size it accordingly. Step 5 Finish the process by selecting where you want your frame to be shown.
We recommend letting everyone use it unless you are looking for local users or users in a specific country. This normally takes between 1 and 3 days for approval or disapproval. Want a little more detail?

How do I create a frame with Frame Studio?
You can use them on your own content, and you can also share them with your fans to use. Frames are similar to Snapchat filters, in that they allow you to create visual overlays with text and graphics to promote your brand.
It is recommended to have a professional designer draw up a few rough sketches on the look of your frame and then have them make the design on Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
On the upper-right corner of your page, Click Open Frame Studio. To upload your design click Upload Art and place your design on the page. After placing your elements in the desired area, click next. You can also choose up to 10 keywords for your frame so that users are able to find it. After submitting, you cannot make any chances to the frame. You can only change the time that you want it to appear.
Once your frame is approved by Facebook, it can be used by you and your followers. If you click on the frame, there will be a shareable link for that frame. You can share this link in a post to your followers so they can try out the frame. To use your frame, launch your Facebook app and select the camera. Before or after you take a photo, tap on the magic wand located at the bottom left of your screen and it will show a list of frames.
Users can also put your frame over their profile picture. Your frame should pop up in the list.

With Easter just around the corner, many churches are using this tool to get the word out about their services. By having your congregation add frames with event information onto their Facebook profile pictures, many of their friends outside of the church see this info right in their news feeds. To make it easy for you to get started, our team has put together three free Photoshop templates that you can customize for your church to use.

Choose your frame name carefully, as friends and followers will be able to search for your frame effect using this name. Facebook lets you choose either your personal profile or business page as the owner of the frame.
In the section below, you can choose who sees your frame. Next, you can choose a start and end date for when your frame will be available. You can opt to make it available as soon as Facebook approves it or schedule a specific timeframe when it can be used.
Below the schedule, choose keywords to add to your frame. Keywords are essential because you want to make sure the right users can find your frame if they go looking. On the last page, review your frame and click Submit. Now you just have to wait for Facebook to approve it. Once approved, the frame will be available for your friends and followers to use.
